Frosty The Snow BEAR?

Frosty The SnowbearWho says that toys are just for children? Whether you give this to your child or keep it to use for a holiday decoration, this is a must have!

The Glass Dragon has created a perfect mix between your favorite teddy bear and those fond wintertime memories. This bear’s legs are weighted with glass beads and he can stand with a little help.

Found at Bear Pile, Frosty is wearing a hand-knit scarf, a worse-for-wear crumpled black felt hat, a raffia broom and poly-mer resin “coal” buttons.

The perfect addition to your home this holiday season!

Horsing Around

Happy Owl Glassworks generously donated these handprinted Seahorse Cards to the Crafters United Hurricane Relief Shop. I love the way the delicate light blue rendering of the seahorse looks against the darker blue background of the cardstock. Simply lovely.

A Little Birdy Told Me…

Whenever I read a really great book, I always get the urge to share it with all my friends. The problem is that once I let someone borrow it, it’s out of sight, and therefore out of mind. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve lent out a great book only to never see it ever again!

While I don’t really mind sharing my great book finds with my friends, part of me always wishes there was a way to keep tabs on my missing tomes. Enter The Paper Princess. She’s created these adorable bookplates that are customizeable so everyone will always know who that great book really belongs to.

I love the darling bluebird illustration, and the packaging is equally sweet. They ship in a shiny tin box, all ready to be gifted to that special bookworm on your gift list.

Vintage Style

I’m not normally much of a brooch-wearing kind of girl, but this one, made from a vintage glass stone, is so unique that it immediately grabbed my attention.

Find this and many other fun designs at Aurora Bloom.

Tis The Season For Baking

Autumn is the perfect time of year to get creative in the kitchen. The leaves are falling outside as the temperatures drop. The days get shorter and the holidays are fast approaching. It’s harvest time. And I find myself wanting to bake up a storm!

Apples and pumpkins are plentiful. But how many apple pies can one endure in a lifetime? That said, if I am asked to bake another pumpkin pie, I may unplug the oven altogether. This year I tried a new take on an old favorite… Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie. Yes, this does taste as good as it sounds!

Alternative To Pumpkin Pie

What do you do with the pumpkin flesh that you scraped out of that Jack-O-Lantern? Tired of baking pumpkin pies? There’s got to be a better way to get rid of that left-over pumpkin! Don’t throw it out, try this simple but very tasty pumpkin roll that is perfect for brunch or dessert!
